Short, because there isn’t much to say.

Portion Notes is a static website: plain pages, a stylesheet and some photos. It has been built to collect as little as possible.

What this site does not do

• It sets no cookies.
• It uses no analytics, statistics or tracking tools of any kind.
• It shows no advertising and loads nothing from other websites: no fonts, no videos, no social media buttons.
• It has no comments, no newsletter and no forms, so you can’t send any personal information through it.

Server logs

Like almost every website, the pages are delivered by a hosting provider. When your browser requests a page, the provider’s servers may record technical information such as your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and your browser type. These logs are used for security and to keep the service running. They are kept by the hosting provider under its own policies and are not used by this notebook to identify anyone.

RSS

If you follow the notebook through the RSS feed, your feed reader fetches the feed in the same way as a browser fetches a page. Nothing else is recorded.

Changes

If anything about this ever changes, for example if a contact address is added, this page will be updated first.
